Counting the weeks...

Dear Baby

I can't sleep. Daddy is at work. I've been doing a lot of thinking. This week I'll be 30 weeks pregnant. So in 10 weeks time I will deliver you insya-Allah. I am excited to have you. But I also feel a bit scared and nervous as this will be my first time delivering a baby. We'll see how it goes. We must pray hard that everything will be fine.

Next week I have another assignment to teach in a school somewhere in Bt Panjang. After almost a month of rest, I'm going back to work again. Hmmmm .. I didn't feel I had a good rest. Been busy and been sick too. I'll be teaching Primary 4 students on how to create a website using Dreamweaver. The assignment will last for 4 weeks daily. Please baby.. help mummy be strong. I hope I will not fall sick or feel too tired. The walking distance from the LRT to the school is pretty far. Please don't make me deliver you in July. We'll wait for the whole assignment to be over and I will be ready to deliver you :) I know this is Almighty God's decision but it will be great if I can deliver in late August or early September. Daddy won't be around in July because he got to go for reservist. I want daddy to be with us when I give birth to you.

We'll see how it goes. Love you baby...

Regards
Mummy

Passing days...

Dear Baby,

How are you doing today? We have a name for you but we decide to announce it when you are born. Only a few people know the name we have chosen for you. Today mummy had blocked nose, throat infection and fever. Daddy and mummy went to see the doctor and he said that the infection did not affect you since I only get infected yesterday. I am glad that I followed my instinct to see the doctor this morning. If you not it could have affected you.

From the previous blog, I mentioned that the we have been busy preparing for your arrival. We've been shopping for your essential stuff like towels, breast pump etc, we collect things from my friend Firdaus, Nani and Aunty Hawa also gave us a few things. They gave us stroller, walker, high chair, bouncer and a swing. And daddy still re-arranging your room and our house. It is is hobby. He has not found the perfect house arrangement yet. We are so lucky that there are people who wants to give us their stuff. We don't mind having second hand things because we foresee you will only use it for a short while. We would rather save our money for your education and HOLIDAYS! hehehehe Mummy and daddy loves to go for holidays especially snorkelling trips. And also daddy will be a sole-bread winner for 1-2 years before I can send you to childcare. I will take care of you myself for the first two years.

3rd anniversary was nothing exciting. Daddy was busy and stressed up about a few stuff. We manage to spend time together on the 24th June 2006. Yesterday, I watched our wedding video alone. In my previous blog, I promised to include some of our wedding pictures. But to think it back, we will still have the album when you grow up. So I capture a few shots from our video. It may not be so clear but these are a few shots that I wished the photographer had taken. Pictures of daddy during nikah is my favourite. Full of expressions. He was nervous and full of tension and after that full of relieve.... something like a feeling during delivery I think hehehehe. At first in pain coz of contractions and once the baby is out it will be full of relief. Lucky thing we have the video. I am with our wedding video service.

Nervous daddy during nikah.
Daddy 'lega' after nikah... look at his cute smiling face hehehehe
I think I look like my mum in this picture.
For the first time daddy feed me as a husband.

Below are the pictures taken after the wedding. After the ceremony on 22nd June 2006, we went to Changi Village for outdoor photo taking. It was fun! Aunty Hazelee will be wearing the same dress for her engagement in September 2006. She happens to take the same "Mak Andam" as mummy. During my wedding 3 mak andam help out for both days. I really appreciate their service.

The pink bouquet was given by daddy during nikah. I was surprised to receive it. I am always happy when daddy give me flowers. It really makes my day. HINT! HINT! to Daddy.

Well mummy and daddy been through thick and thin. Tough but we still love each other deeply and with your presence, you are the jewel of our hearts.

Love you forever and ever,
Mummy
