A gift from Father Pear

Dear Son,

It's been tough week for mummy. But then again life goes on. Daddy gave me a surprise gift. I was so happy and I almost in tears. I have to control it or else daddy will laugh and tease me. Daddy bought for me a pendant from Citigems. He chose it himself. This is the 3rd gift he chose himself. Usually when it comes to jewellery he insist we choose together. The gifts he suprised me and chose himself - Huge Hamtaro doll, Humongous Moshi Moru and for our 3rd wedding anniversary (21st June 2006) daddy bought for me a pendant. This is a belated anniversary gift. I hope I remembered all the surprises. If I don't daddy will kill me. Anyway thanks for Father Pear for the gift. I love it. I always love any gift he chose himself.

So what's Father Pear all about. Daddy calls you pear. He finds that your huge cheeks makes you look like a pear. When I was pregnant I ate a lot of Chinese pear. errrr... I don't think it's my fault.

Yesterday you started weaning. I thought I want to wait for you to turn 4 months. But from the internet and articles I read you already show signs that you are ready to eat. Anyway you will turn 4 months in 4 days. So I decided to go ahead. Yesterday you tried brown rice. You hate it. You spit everything out. Tried a few times but you refused to eat it. Finally you happily ate your medicine. hmmmm... maybe because it is sweet.

Today mummy and daddy bought Heinz rice cereal, golden vegetables and pear juice. You don't like to eat rice and golden vegetables by itself. You taste a bit and refuse the second spoon. We tried put a bit of rice and a bit of golden vegetables in one spoon. Yes! You ate it! You did not spit it out. After eating a a few spoon, you refused to eat. Instead you watched daddy eating fish and chips. It's not the time yet. You must learn to eat the basic food. When you refused to eat more, I stop feeding you. I did not force you to eat more. I let you have some diluted pear juice. You love the pear juice. You want more of it. I will give you some juice whenever you eat your rice. No rice no juice. hehehehe mummy sadist. Everything we bought is for 4 months and above babies. You need vitamin C to help iron to absorb in your body. You need to take both my son. Mummy been trying to find baby food which is certified Halal for 4 months and above babies. But we could only find one Chinese brand and the brown rice is mixed with ikan bilis. Daddy not comfortable with ikan bilis. So we check the ingredients for Heinz brand and it seems okay. Nestle is halal but it's for 6 months and above. As for your food I need to constantly check with daddy just in case you have sensitive skin like daddy's. Mummy and daddy will still food hunting for you. It's time for you to enjoy different textures and explore the world of food!

At the moment you can ..

Wriggle around by yourself - When I turn around you will be somewhere else.
You know how to watch TV - I don't let you watch TV that much. I only let you watch Baby Einstein vcd.
You can respond when people talk to you - Hmmm even when people don't talk to you also you respond.
You can sit up when supported - It makes it difficult for me to carry you with the sling. You always want to sit up when I carry you.
You love to be fed using a spoon - When you were 2 months you refuse to drink water. We decided to let you drink water using a spoon and you love it.
You can pull anything you like
You can kick anything you like - You can really kick very high.
You feel jealous - We went to visit a relative who just gave birth to a baby boy. When mummy carry the baby you cried very loudly. When mummy put down the baby you kept quiet and want me to carry you. I was shocked that you can feel jealous at a young age.
You are friendly - You don't mind anybody carry you. As long as the person walk around and not sitting down.
You bully mummy and daddy - When daddy around you always make him carry you. With mummy, you always make sure I am beside you. But when your Aunty Eliza take care of you for 5 hours, you were independent.

At the moment these are the few things I can think of. My sleepy head not functioning well. Good night my love.
