Gift from Daddy

Hi Baby,

Daddy bought for me American Diamond ring for my 32nd birthday. I love it.

Today mummy stayed at home. Yesterday mummy taught in a Secondary school somewhere in the east. The room in the school was so beautiful. Most of the furniture is from IKEA. Now I have an idea how to decorate your room. This morning daddy and mummy discussed about your room. We had agreed on something. I hope you will like it.

Erkkk... my birthday dinner again?

Dear Baby,

Guess what happened to mummy last night? Aunty Raudhah & Uncle Nazri organize a birthday dinner for me! This time it's at Lot 1. At first I thought it was just a simple dinner with Daddy, Uncle Nazri, Aunty Raudhah, Uncle Mizi and Aunty Nadiah. But end up.... Atok and Nenek join us along with Uncle Ipun, Fariz and Trisha. So there were 9 adults and 2 children. I was expecting simple dinner and after that go for movies. It was just dinner no fun until Aunty Raudhah and Uncle Nazri bought mango cake and everybody sang at the restaurant. I was embarassed. I said "I know am getting older, no need to remind me many times." Later a friend of Uncle Nazri said hi and wished happy birthday to mummy. Allah saja yang tau how malu mummy was. If I am 23 years old it's ok. But I am erghhhhh... Whole restaurant knows it's my birthday. Anyway, it was nice of them to make an effort to celebrate my birthday for the 2nd time. I thought the Doa Selamat at home was enough.

Now mummy on the bed typing this blog. Feeling tired after training and going out celebrating birthdays almost everyday. I am determine to organize for daddy something this year. We'll see how it goes. I want daddy to malu too hehehehehe. Mummy have to go back preparing for tomorrow's class. Meanwhile you take care and I love you soooo much.

My Birthday

Dear Baby,

Mummy have not been updating this blog of awhile. Mummy have been busy celebrating my birthday with so many people. I feel this year I am extremely popular. People just want to celebrate my old age. I dedicate my yearly birthdays to my mother for being so strong and brave to go through labour pain at Kandang Kerbau Hospital on Tuesday 26th March 1974. It has been smooth sailing and fun days.

25th March 2006
I celebrated my birthday with daddy. We went for a movie at Lido. We watched Mine, Yours and Ours. A nice show about having 18 kids in the family. After that We went shopping for a contour pillow. Mummy has been having neck aches, stiff shoulders and backaches for days. I was desperate for remedy. I bought Friven contour pillow which is pretty cheap. At first I thought it wouldn't help because the sales assistant kept on recommending for $89 pillow. I eventually settled for $32 contour pillow. Now I feel soooo much better. No back aches. But a little stiff neck & shoulders. After that we went Straits Kitchen @ Hyatt Hotel for dinner. I only eat naan, satay, prata and fruits. Daddy ate chinese food. When we are filled we went for a walk at Orchard Road and straight home. In the middle of the night I can't sleep because I was too full. Daddy tummy was also tumbling because he ate too much too. We didn't take much photos as we are too hungry to pose for the camera!

I and daddy went to Tanjong Katong Complex at Geylang to buy my birthday gift. Daddy bought for me 916 American diamond ring for me. This is his first time to buy for 916 gold. Usually daddy will buy for me white gold jewelleries. After a quick buy at Golden Chance we went to hunt for minyak Aroda and baby names book. We met Uncle Zahari and his wife. I have not seen Uncle Zahari for a year or so. He looks like Hunter (an old sitcom on channel) now. Said hi and we bought dinner and went home. Again we did not take any pictures.

27th March 2006
Mummy working as usual. Mummy taught in a Secondary school nearby our flat. I reached home at about 7pm and we are expecting your daddy's family to come over. We are having doa selamat for my birthday, for your health and for daddy's promotion. All of your daddy's siblings came. My birthday falls on the same day as your 2 year old cousin Azza's birthday. We bought for her a toy washing sink. It was fun and everybody left at about 11.30pm.

Today I celebrated my birthday with your cousins Hannah, Pu3, Syaza, Wardi, Jazlee & Bazlee. I and daddy went to bedok to celebrate with them. We bought Swensen's cake and Canadian Pizza. I spent time with them only about 1.5 hours because they have to rush for Quran reading session, homework and tuition. But it was fun! I would like to thank all of them for the gifts the have bought for me from their school pocket money savings and unique birthday cards they created themselves. I told them that they need not buy for me anything. A simple card will do. It was the thought that counts.
